Since then, I’ve participated in 1 to 2 races each month and I completed my first marathon in November of 2016! The term “race” is being used very liberally here; I am slow (or #sexypace as my running pals and I like to say) but I still love the excitement and atmosphere of race day not to mention the spectators, the Gatorade, and being able to run without stopping for red lights. Now that I have one marathon under my belt, I'm hoping to one day run all 6 of the World Marathon Majors (Berlin, Boston, Chicago, London, New York, and Tokyo).
When I’m not out for a run, I’m enjoying life as a resident of Astoria in Queens, NY. I’m originally from Boston but NYC has been my home since 2011 when I moved here with my then-boyfriend-now-husband. I love ice hockey (go Bruins!), white wine, cooking up a storm, panda bears, and holidays. I try to re-read the Harry Potter series at least once a year, twice if I have the free time. My number one bucket list item is to visit all 50 states and I’m nearly halfway there; in 2015 I was excited to check Alaska off the list.
